Gundam Seed x Gyakuten Saiban (Ace Attorney)

So I've had this Gundam SEED x Ace Attorney crossover-cosplay idea since like.... 2010, when I first played Phoenix Wright. I love both series dearly for their characters, and I thought they match up pretty well. Not just the characters' roles but also many of their relationships with each other that fit pretty well.

Also, the initials "GS" for me has stood for "Gundam SEED" since I started watching the show. But Ace Attorney's Japanese name is "Gyakuten Saiban", which is also "GS"

Defense Lawyers = OMNI and Prosecutors = ZAFT? ('cept Lacus and Cagalli would be on the wrong sides lol). Could you imagine fighting a war not with weapons but with words and logic?

Fllay Allster as Dahlia Hawthorne

Beware of scheming charming redheads! Both Fllay and Dahlia took advantage of the kindness and naivety of the main character (Kira and young Phoenix respectively) for their personal plot. While Fllay redeemed herself by the end (and thus I don't dislike her), Dahlia remained a bitch to the very end (and thus I dislike her)

Rau Le Creuset as Godot

I was really tempted to have Andrew Waltfeld cosplay Godot, both being coffee freaks and all. But I couldn't resist having Rau as a the masked character. And Rau has more of a connection to Fllay (since Godot and Dahlia have a connection). And both Rau/Godot have a grudge against Kira/Phoenix

Mwu La Flaga as Diego Armando

To be honest, I don't really like Diego, while Mwu is only like my favourite character ever. But I can't find a better parallel for Mwu (other than maybe Hobo Nick, but that's Apollo Justice), and I can't just not include him in this picture. I did consider having Mwu as Phoenix due to the phase 11 court martial scene (lol), but Kira needs to be Phoenix. So I settled for Diego, mostly due to his relationship with Mia, and his sort of mentor role. But I must say, Mwu looks really good in that outfit... *__*

Murrue Ramius as Mia Fey

Probably one of the strongest parallels. Both Murrue and Mia act as the mentor/big sister character to Kira and Phoenix respectively.

Lacus Clyne as Maya Fey

One of Lacus's dresses looks like a short kimono similar in style to Maya's outfit, and they both have long hair. Lacus and Maya help Kira and Phoenix achieve their goals. And there's the shipping factor too, of Lacus x Kira and Maya x Phoenix. Though their personalities aren't very similar; Maya is hyper and bubbly while Lacus is more lady-like a reserved.

Kira Yamato as Phoenix Wright

Obvious choice, since they're both the main characters of their respective series. While Phoenix is a lot older than Kira, they both have that "I want to help my friends no matter what" mentality, and sometimes let themselves get taken advantage of because of it. And they both wear blue. I'm not sure if Kira would be a good defense attorney though, and I'm sure Phoenix would not be a good pilot lol

Athrun Zala as Miles Edgeworth

The childhood friend-turned-rival-turned-ally of the main character, Athrun's an obvious choice to cosplay as Edgeworth. They also both wear red, and Athrun totally rocks the cravat

Cagalli Athha as Franziska von Karma

Probably not the strongest connection, since Cagalli's a tomboy and Franziska's a snob. But they both try to hide their soft sides. They both have short hair and a close relationship with Athrun/Edgeworth. While I don't really ship Edgeworth x Franziska, they are close and care about each other. I also just wanted to put Cagalli in a frilly outfit and make her look embarrassed XD

This picture took forever, but I ended up really liking the result. I actually thought about adding Dearka as Larry Butz and Yzak as Gumshoe, but after staring at it for like 2 weeks I just want to finish it X.x Maybe I'll add them in later....

And yes, I do think Destiny is equivalent to Apollo Justice, in many many ways... lol
