Happy New Year's Eve!!
Looking back at my journals and submissions, I didn't really upload much here this year XD But that doesn't mean I haven't been making stuff! While I did draw less, 2015 had been a crafty year. The first half of the year I put my drawing stuff on hold to make things for my wedding. The second half of the year I learned how to crochet and make amigurumi
I also started posting my stuff more on
twitter.
Through a double-elimination tournament, I determined that my top anime of 2015 was Akatsuki no Yona, followed by Beautiful Bones -Sakurako's Investigation-, and Shirobako. My top game of 2015 was Pokemon Shuffle (which also has the highest play time, according to 3DS activity log), followed by Yoshi's Woolly World, and Project Mirai DX.

Here's the thing I did last year, where I try to summarize each month. The first half of the year was pretty hard 'cause I have a terrible memory and I didn't write many journals on devART to help me remember lol.
In January I bought my wedding dress. It's a ball-gown type with a poofy skirt, train, and lace.
In February I started playing Pokemon Shuffle, I pretty much got addicted to it for the rest of the year, 'cause it keeps on having new content every week. I started experimenting with origami designs to get the rose I want for my bouquet and stuff.
In March I reached my 10 deviantART anniversary, but I didn't really do anything to celebrate it
Late March, I started playing Fire Emblem Awakening. I didn't play the game when it came out 'cause I wasn't a huge fan of FE (the copy I played wasn't even mine), I randomly decided to give it a try and got really hooked on it 'cause they characters are so adorkable <3
In April I went to view the venues for my wedding. My 3DS activity data tells me I played a lot of FE Awakening this month XD
In May I finished the wedding invitations finally. I went to Anime North, but wasn't part of the Gym Leaders stuff, instead I went around as Squid Girl/Glaceon mostly to cosplay photoshoots. I rewatched Akatsuki no Yona with Dylan, and he really liked it, even though he's not generally a fan of shoujo; afterwards I marathoned and caught up to the manga (still want a season 2 of the anime though!)
In June I made a lot of origami roses, and started assembling the bouquets for my wedding. Dylan made me a scavenger hunt for my birthday, which led to some custom-commissioned eeveelution plushies. Played a lot of Splatoon; I'd never thought I would like a shooting game (though I use the roller, so I guess it doesn't really feel like a shooting game), nor one where you play with random ppl online lol
In July I finished the bouquets and centrepieces, and designed the program for my wedding, as well as the various decorations like favours and escort cards. I reached 3000 miis in Mii Plaza! Went to ConBravo, mostly to hang out with friends; for a good portion of the con I sat there and played Link Between Worlds and cleared out my mii plaza lol.
In August I got married and went to Iceland for my honeymoon. At the end of August I finally started on Last Window, which I bought a couple years ago and sat on my shelf all this time, I think I like it better than Hotel Dusk.
In September I finally got to play Project Mirai DX (it was delayed from the original date in May), I've been waiting for this game for a long time. At the end of September, I also got Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer, which I wasn't too convinced about at first, but it was pretty fun.
In October I played Yoshi's Woolly World, which I've been waiting for since seeing at at E3 2 years ago. The aesthetics is really cute. Someone posted a tutorial on how to crochet an Yoshi egg, so I took the opportunity to
finally learn how to crochet (which I've been meaning to do for like the past couple years lol)! At the end of October, I entered a Nintendo contest for Happy Home Designer and
won the full set of the amiibo cards!
In November I learned to crochet more, and how to make amigurumi in general. I marathoned through a bunch of stuff while Dylan was glued to Desert Bus, including Korra (which I dropped after like the first few eps the first time I tried watching it) and Gravity Falls, and a bunch of idol anime. I got Triforce Heroes and played with friends.
In December I moved to a different office in a new building. Made party favours for the company Holiday Party, made Christmas presents for people, made paper decorations for the new office space. Did a lot of knitting and crocheting while I watched anime. Started and caught up to Haikyu, the characters are quite adorakable XD
-----------
tl;dr version:
- I got married in August
- pre-August is wedding preparation stuff, a lot of origami
- I played a lot of games, Pokemon Shuffle is the new Candy Crush lol
- I
finally learned how to crochet in October, yay!!
This is what my journal last year said:
In 2015 I hope to:
- Spend less money on figures
- Get married (planning a wedding seems like a pain though....)
- Learn how to crochet
- Be less lazy
I did 3 of those 4 things, so that's good, right?
-----------
In 2016 I hope to:
- Spend less money on figures
- Be less lazy
- Go to sleep earlier
- Organize photos from trips
- Finish projects I start >_<
